Ventro went full speed ahead at this year’s Go Karting staff day

September 29, 2017 by in Uncategorized

Every 6 months, Ventro hold their very own company-wide staff day which involves training and relationship building activities. This time we took to the racing pit in a Ventro Grand Prix.

On September 29th 2017, we held our second staff training day. With the company expanding so quickly, so much has happened in such a short amount of time. As we have offices dotted all around the UK in Nottingham, Manchester, London and Plymouth, it is imperative that the company communicates with everyone to update employees on changes and important factors that influence people day-to-day.

So many changes for the better

The morning began with a company-wide tour of the new office. Not everyone has been fortunate to have seen how much the company has expanded. Our new office is so big, that it comfortably fits our expanding team.

We have lots of different design features that have been put in place to make working lives easier and more enjoyable.

  • Our new hot-desk feature allows team members who work elsewhere, to pick who and where they would like to sit
  • Our new meeting pods are perfect for those small group catch-ups. They are very comfortable and private and have been very popular with the team so far
  • Our new conference room has been the highlight of the office. We can comfortably fit over 20 members of staff in the room at once. It has a projector screen in place to present to everyone and was perfect to show our company presentation to update the whole team on everything there is to know.

Each department gave an update on their team’s successes for the past six months and goals for the next six months.

There’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition

Following the company presentation, we like to pick a fun activity that gets everyone involved. Relationship and team building play a large part of our culture here at Ventro. We like to make sure everyone is happy and that everyone can help each other out. And who doesn’t like a bit of healthy competition?

At the end of the day, it is important that we all work together to achieve our end goals.

We all headed down to Plymouth Karting in Ernesettle where we all took part in the Ventro Grad Prix. We all competed to win the title of the best racer, as well as winning that bottle of Asti. Nice one Ross (winner) and a big well done to Jake and Harvey (runners-up). The day was finished up with a game of laser quest which was highly enjoyable.
