What are Ventro's Social Values?
At Ventro Group, social value is central to our mission, especially
as a contractor serving the social housing sector. We believe that
our work extends beyond fire safety and protecting properties to
positively impact the communities in which we operate. Social
value for Ventro means fostering long-term benefits for residents,
supporting local economies, and improving the well-being of
all stakeholders.
We are accredited for Social Value through Construction Line.
"Social Value means in practice is likely to change from one job to the next, as different buyers will have different priorities when it comes to social value."
The Importance Of Communities
Through ideas, contributions and delivery, everyone can create change that shapes the future. We recognise the importance of community, culture and competence. It's our responsibility to work towards creating change through partnerships, education, and engagement.
Having a support system is crucial for mental and emotional well-being. It can help individuals cope with challenges and celebrate successes together. See our efforts to make an impact below...

Ventro staff came together to raise some smiles and some money to help individuals through the toughest times of their lives. We even managed to do a small bake sale to try and help raise more money for a great charity, doing anything we can for an amazing cause! Everyone did what they could to make even a little bit of difference to those lives that are impacted.
Wear it Green
Today our staff are taking part in #wearitgreen today for the Mental Health Foundation.

We're fully in the festive spirit, with Phil the elf even getting involved too!
2023
North Plymouth Foodbank Donation
Friday 17th February was Random Acts of Kindness Day. Ventro Group took this opportunity to donate some food and toiletries to the local foodbank. They had requested for more toiletries than food, so we donated shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, and shower gel as well as some coffee and juice as these items were also in demand.
MacMillan Coffee Morning
To celebrate Easter this April, we decided to host our very own MacMillan Coffee Morning. Some of our amazing team brought along baked goods to be sold to help raise money whilst having delicious treats.
World Child Cancer Charity Dinner
The Ventro team attended the World Child Cancer Charity Dinner, for the second time, alongside our customer Metropolitan Thames Valley along with many others. We were honoured to sponsor a table and attend the evening.
The event was a huge success, with a phenomenal £110,000 being raised for the charity World Child Cancer who support children with cancer across the globe - an amazing cause and an excellent result!
Trussell Trust Foodbank Donation
As part of our social values, here at Ventro we try to donate to food banks throughout the year to try to help the local community where we can.
The team went to Plympton Food Bank in Plymouth to donate over 40kg of essential food items to the community. With the cost of living increasing, more people are relying on places like food banks to be able to live day-to-day.

Ventro Group's donation to Chase's fundraiser shows our support for Chase, who has pulmonary hypertension. It reflects our commitment to helping those with health challenges and assisting Chase on their path to better health.

2022
Litter Pick With Dartmoor Rangers
Staff from Ventro Group helped out Dartmoor Rangers on a #2MinuteLitterPick, where we collected 2 full bags of litter.
Litter is a big problem, causing harm to wildlife, and grazing stock such as ponies and sheep. In National Parks, you will not find litter bins, so ensure you carry a spare bag to put it in, by doing something small, you help with something so big!
Great British Spring Clean
Ventro Group joined the Great British Spring Clean and carried out a litter pick in the local area. We pledged 8 bags of rubbish which we did accomplish, with the wider clean reaching 449,406 bags collected for #LitterHeros.
During the campaign, members of the British public come together, from big business' and trusts to community groups and councils - to get rubbish off the ground, safely collected and recycled.
Trussell Trust Foodbank Donation
For Lent in 2022, we donated 96.2kg of food supplies to the Trussell Trust Foodbank. Throughout the year, Ventro will donate food to local food banks to help those in need.
Times are becoming ever more difficult, leading to more people being forced to use food banks and calling for more donations to be made.
#HelloYellow
Young Minds are a young person's mental health charity that wants to see a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
In the UK today, an estimated five children in every classroom has a mental health problem. A quarter of 17-year-old girls have self-harmed in the last year while suicide remains the single biggest killer of boys and young men.
#SPOTacular Children In Need
We took part in Children In Needs SPOTacular this year by wearing spots or bright colours.
The money raised for Children in Need helps children and their families who are trapped in poverty, and the ongoing crisis in children’s mental health, support is more crucial than ever. This years SPOTacular raised £35,273,167.
The Great Giving Back
2022 was a challenging year for many as rising bills and living costs have placed additional financial pressure on families and residents across the UK. With the holidays looming, we were compelled to help out, so created the Great Giving Back campaign to help communities and residents in need.
Ventro Group kicked off the Great Giving Back campaign by delivering 30 boxes of food essentials, holiday treats and toiletry items across the UK, from Exeter in the Southwest of England to Paisley in Scotland.
