At Ventro, we take data privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains who we are, how we collect, share and use Personal Information and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

How do we collect your data?

Users might be buying tickets for an event or registering for the same. Information that you provide while creating an attendee account or registering for that event or using any of its services i.e., buying tickets or attending certain sessions will ask for your Personal Information including name, e-mail id, contact number and so on.

We use the information you provide about yourself when booking an event only to complete that instruction and ensure that we maintain high levels of customer service to you.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses may be used for the purpose of sending further relevant information to you regarding our events.

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, to perform a contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests.

How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

If you provide Personal Data for a certain purpose, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the purpose for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem and will respond to the email address from which the contact came.

How Long We Retain Your Personal Data

We may retain Personal Data for a period as is permitted or required under applicable laws. Even if we delete your Personal Data it may persist on backup or archival media for an additional period for legal, tax or regulatory reasons or for legitimate and lawful business purposes.

You have the right at any time to stop Ventro from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of Ventro.

The Right To Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.

Ventro will honour your request to erase your personal data without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:

  • The data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
  • You withdraw consent (where consent was the legal basis for processing).
  • You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds to continue.
  • The data has been unlawfully processed.
  • The data must be erased to comply with a legal obligation.
  • The data was collected in relation to the offer of information society services to a child.

We will assess each request in line with our legal obligations and may refuse to delete data in specific circumstances, such as where processing is required for compliance with a legal obligation, for the establishment or defence of legal claims, or for reasons of public interest.

The right to access

You have the right to request Ventro for copies of your personal data. We will not charge a fee for access to your personal data unless your request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.

The right to rectification

You have the right to request that Ventro correct any information you believe to be inaccurate. You also have the right to request Ventro to complete information you believe to be incomplete.
