Est.2013
Ventro Group was established with the aim of providing sector-leading fire safety solutions with a focus on safety. Founding Director Howard Melvin, who had prior experience in the industry, was disappointed with the existing fire safety solutions being offered and founded Ventro Group to prioritise safety above all else.
A decade later, Ventro Group's approach to fire safety continues to drive the industry forward. According to Managing Director Harvey Melvin, "the safety of residents and the public must always be the top priority."
Ventro - Through The Years
2023
The company grew to employ 150 members of staff. Ventro has been a CPD Certified Member for 5 years, presenting knowledge-sharing events to like-minded individuals.
2022
The company grew to employ 122 members of staff. Ventro donated over 950 items to housing residents in need at Christmas to provide support in difficult financial times.
2021
The company grew to employ 59 members of staff. Ventro were awarded 'Nationwide Fire Safety Specialists of the Year' by SME News. Ventro HQ expands by renovating upstairs and celebrates the grand opening with The Lord Mayor of Plymouth, cutting the ribbon.
2020
The company grew to employ 51 members of staff. Ventro opened up an office in Nottingham, Ripley to accommodate further company growth.
2019
The company grew to employ 37 members of staff. Ventro held its first knowledge-sharing and networking live event.
2018
Ventro opened up their new Head Quarters office in Estover, Plymouth. The company grew to employ 25 members of staff.
Ventro's two apprentices' were awarded the completion certificates by The Hon. Oliver Colvill MP.
Ventro held the grand opening of the downstairs office, The Rt Hon. Johnny Mercer MP did the honours of cutting the ribbon.
Ventro held its first Round Table event in collaboration with Rutland.
2017
Omnizone was launched, the Active Fire Prevention services side of Ventro. These two brands then fell under Aquilam Group.
Plymouth Herald awarded Ventro 'SME Business of the Year' and Ventro Directors Ross and Harvey Melvin the 'Young Person of the Year Award'.
2016
The company grew to employ 15 members of staff. Rented out an office unit located at Faraday Mill, Plymouth. Ventro takes on two Apprentices'.
2015
The company grew to employ 5 members of staff.
2014
The first large housing association planned programme of fire safety works was secured.
2013
Howard Melvin founding director of Ventro Group worked in the construction industry for 40+ years. Ventro incorporated with only 3 members of staff working out of a portable cabin.
