AOV Engineer

Are you an ambitious and driven AOV Engineer?  As a Smoke Ventilation Engineer, you will be part of a successful team, responsible for the operation of our active fire division, and work alongside your colleagues maintaining fire systems and enhancing the company’s reputation with regards to service and quality.

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Maintain AOV systems and install actuators and batteries
  • Maintain Fire Systems in line with current standards and customer requirements 
  • Respond to demand service calls on fire systems in line with current standards and customer requirements 
  • Plan and implement routine and demand call visits for your area 
  • Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a full understanding 
  • Be responsible for the management and security of own equipment stock in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriate

Bid Coordinator

Are you an ambitious and Bid Coordinator? As a Bid Coordinator, you will support the team by overseeing the smooth running of the bid process from the first identification of a bidding opportunity, through to submission.

Location: Plymouth📍

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Respond to pre-qualification questionnaires
  • Register on and manage the customer tender portals
  • Communicate tender queries and respond to tender clarifications throughout the bid process. Ensure that clarification questions are posted in good time and responses are communicated to the relevant persons
  • Liaise with the Sales Team to arrange site visits
  • Conduct Bid/No Bid checks and follow up actions
  • On identification of a ‘go’ bid, in discussion with the Bid Writer/Manager, organise the setup of a bid kick-off meeting and provide summaries/Kick Off slides of tender documentation
  • Set up, populate, update and publish a bid tracker to ensure the bid team are aware of the schedule
  • Follow up with the Bid Writers and SMEs - prompting with updates where timelines are lagging
  • Coordinate all the bid related activities with the entire bid team from kick off to bid delivery
  • Collate requested information to support the Bid Team and relevant Sales Consultant
  • Provide reviews of each bid prior to submission, checking for clarity of response, quality of offerings in relation to the specification, tailoring of response to question phrasing and correction of typos. Ensure proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards. Provide advice on flow, language and grammar
  • Keep accurate historic bid records (outcomes, win, losses)
Fire Alarm Engineer

Fire Strategy Consultant

Are you an ambitious and driven Strategy Consultant? As a Fire Strategy Consultant within the Fire and Building Safety Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing fire strategies to ensure effective fire safety and prevention

Location: Birmingham / London📍

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Support the company to maintain and obtain new business and external accreditation
  • Assist all Key Stakeholders in managing customer expectation and product ranges
  • Provide Internal and External training to non-technical experts
  • Produce fire strategy documents existing buildings (table top and on site validation)
  • Produce fire safety management plans for existing buildings
  • Advise on fire safety measures at post occupation stages
  • Support the development of appropriate internal policies and procedures.
  • Undertake Commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Complex Fire Risk Assessments (where required)
  • Provide fire safety advice commensurate with levels of competence
  • Maintain and provide CPD in line with Company requirements
  • Escalate appropriate risks and hazards in line with current policies and procedures
  • Follow current fire safety legislation and guidelines
  • Keep up to date with changes in company guidelines and policies
  • Work alongside key stakeholders and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Experience/Track Record of:

  • Previous experience completing retrospective fire and design strategies
  • Appropriate formal fire safety or fire risk assessment qualification (L4+)
  • Experience in reviewing fire strategy and fire engineering designs
  • Strong Fire Safety and Risk Management experience
  • Strong understanding of external walls and compartmentation requirements
  • Experience with Residential and Commercial properties (where appropriate)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Excellent technical understanding of fire safety mitigation, risk profiles, and appropriate guidance documentation
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own and team workloads
NetSuite Technician

Are you an ambitious and driven NetSuite Technician? Due to expansion Ventro Group are looking to grow our internal IT support team; We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team. This role will assist with the implementation & ongoing development of our NetSuite system.

Location: Plymouth📍

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Work on NetSuite developments to support the group’s growth and strategy
  • Administer and maintain the internal system, including user roles and permissions, customisation, configuration, and workflows
  • Ad-Hoc requests from internal stakeholders, such as generating reports, custom fields and other minor adjustments to NetSuite system
  • First line system support, Assisting with problem resolutions - Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware and networking issues
  • Review system and equipment performance
  • General system maintenance as required
  • Assist with system training and updates

Pre-Construction Surveyor

Are you an ambitious and driven Pre-Construction Surveyor? As a Pre-Construction Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections and surveys related to fire compartmentation and passive fire protection.

Location: Bristol / London📍

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Door Inspections: Conduct regular planned door inspections, with some clients requiring FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) certification.
  • Door Surveys: Perform one-off surveys to assess the condition of doors and ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
  • Compartment Surveys: Carry out detailed surveys to identify and document compartmentation line errors within buildings.
  • Survey Oversight: Oversee and manage surveys for remedial works, which include:
    - Understanding the compartmentation lines of a drawing 
    -  Identifying applicable fire ratings in the absence of drawings.
    - Understanding what fire ratings should apply in the absence of drawings  
    - Conducting destructive surveys to identify faults, with a thorough understanding of what to look for.
    - Creating detailed lists of observations to highlight issues.
    - Noting environmental challenges that may impact survey outcomes.
    - Developing comprehensive solutions for issues found, including:
    - Proposing detailed remedial actions that contribute to a Statement of Work (SOW).
    - Specifying required materials and quantities.
    - Estimating the time required to complete each task.
  • Survey Quotation Review: Review and validate quotations produced from survey findings, ensuring no areas of the building are omitted and that assumptions are clearly made for any inaccessible areas.

  • Book appointments by telephone with new clients.
  • Attend appointments booked, identify opportunities and provide solutions based on client needs.
  • Present over Teams and face-to-face with clients.
  • Use of CRM system to track opportunities

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission a BS9251 Residential Sprinkler Systems in line with current standards and customer requirements 
  • Effectively communicate with our Project Manager to ensure a full understanding 
  • Be responsible for the management and security of own equipment stock in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriate via the Project Manager 
  • Weekly reporting to Project Manager 
  • Promote the profile of Ventro 
  • Promote a clear focus on quality assurance, service accessibility and responsiveness, maximising client involvement and feedback 
  • Promote customer service excellence 
  • Understand the company’s obligations under the contract
