At Ventro, we pride ourselves on partnering with industry leaders to deliver the best possible fire safety solutions. As an approved Kentec installer, we’re excited to highlight the innovative updates to the Taktis analogue addressable fire alarm control panel, a system designed to protect even the most complex buildings.

Taktis is now more versatile than ever, suitable for a wide range of applications, from schools and hospitals to multi-site retail, critical national infrastructure, and industrial facilities. The control panel features enhanced redundancy measures, including multiple back-up microprocessors, ensuring continuous operation even if its advanced touchscreen fails. This level of reliability eliminates single points of failure, keeping fire detection systems operational in all scenarios. With the ability to network up to a huge 127 control panels, Taktis provides unparalleled fault tolerance and ensures full compliance with EN 54-2 standards, critical for large-scale installations.

Enhanced Safety Whilst Reducing Disruption

The latest Taktis version complies with BS 7273-4 standards for door release mechanisms in fire situations. It meets Category A requirements, ensuring fail-safe operation even under severe fault conditions. This advanced functionality guarantees that doors unlock or release in emergencies, bolstering safety across all types of buildings.

False alarms remain a major challenge, particularly in accommodation-based businesses. Taktis addresses this with a new ‘hotel mode,’ which activates only the sounder in the room where the detection occurs, providing time for investigation before triggering a full-scale evacuation. This feature is especially beneficial for hotels, student accommodation, and sheltered housing, minimising disruption and enhancing peace of mind.

User-Friendly Design

Taktis doesn’t compromise on usability. Its full-colour, seven-inch touchscreen offers customisable features and multilingual programming options, making it accessible to users with minimal training. Whether for smoke control operations or standard fire safety procedures, Taktis ensures ease of operation without sacrificing functionality.
