Our Accreditations

We are an accredited company that takes pride in our quality and service

We are an accredited company that takes pride in our quality and service Over the years, we have been able to gain some highly relevant and useful accreditations that have allowed us to provide a better service to our customers. We take pride in providing our employees with the appropriate training and qualifications needed in order for the to do a good job.

Our accreditations show that we are industry leaders, we follow industry trends, we are able to learn directly about the types of products available, or new to the market that can help improve the passive fire safety of your building. The accreditations we hold shows our competency and provides us with the authority to be able to inform our customers of what is needed to make them compliant.

You would want someone trusted to tell you that your fire doors are not compliant, or that your intumescent sealant is not fire rated. Our accreditations provide not only us with the confidence that we know what we are talking about, but they provide customers with the peace of mind that industry experts have accredited us to provide people with this information. Our practices are accepted by the Health and Safety and Fire Safety practices. The following will explain to you what accreditations we have.

Here at Ventro we hold the Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Installer and the Fire Stopping Installer accreditations. The Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Installer scheme is a certification scheme that provides you the reassurance and confidence that your fire doors and fire stopping are being installed under a 3rd party product installation scheme which is subjected to a rigorous initial vetting process and regular on-going checks to ensure that the quality of our work continues to meet the standards set by the scheme.

There is a legal requirement for manufacturers to demonstrate the ability of their products to resist the passage and spread of fire, and by having an inadequate installation, that can compromise the efficiency of the door. So the Fire Door Installer scheme has been designed for exactly that reason, making sure you have a contractor such as Ventro who install the products correctly allowing them to perform as intended. This is the same for the Fire Stopping Installation scheme. Both the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order require that the person fitting the fire stopping products is competent to do so, this 3rd party accreditation is an accepted means to demonstrate just that.

Fire Door Safety Scheme (FDIS)

The Fire Door Inspection Scheme – FDIS – is a training programe launched as a joint venture between the BWF-Certifire Scheme and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI). The scheme is to help improve safety, by giving expert advice, providing vital resources and raising awareness of defective fire doors. The scheme provides a comprehensive knowledge of fire door specification, installation, inspection and maintenance and repair.

Having secured the FDIS Diploma, our surveyors are able to pinpoint exactly where remedial works are required which will help keep your building compliant.
